The New Zealand Schools Scholarship is for middle and high school students from Vietnam to study at a selected New Zealand school for one year.  Future proof yourself for success with a New Zealand Education!  If you want to prepare for the future with one of the world's best education systems, then this scholarship is for you.  New Zealand schools offer a new way of learning and a wide range of subjects that will help you gain creativity and critical thinking for the future skills you want.

40 New Zealand Schools Scholarships are available for middle or high school students. Each He Tohu Hiranga scholarship provides a 50% subsidy on the full-year school tuition fees [four terms] of the first year of study. Scholars must study in New Zealand for a minimum of one school year (40 weeks/4 terms - not including holidays), commencing in Term 3 starting 20 July 2020 at the latest.

Eligibility:

To apply, you must:

  • Currently be in Grade 8,9, or 10 in a Vietnamese middle school or high school, and
  • Be a legal citizen of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and
  • Be aged between 13 and 16 years at the time of application, and
  • Meet the requirements for GPA (from 8.0) and English (equivalent to IELTS 5.5), and
  • Be able to take up the New Zealand Schools Scholarship for a minimum of one school year (4 terms), commencing no later than 20 July 2020

Value of the Award:

He Tohu Hiranga (Excellence) Award
This award provides a scholarship to the value of 50% of tuition fees for the first year of study. 
Applicants for He Tohu Hiranga award must have GPA 8.0, and English proficiency level equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
