This scholarship will provide recognition and financial assistance to a deserving student enrolled in CQUniversity Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Diploma of Professional Practice (Co-op Engineering).

Scholarship Value: Up to $37,500

Length of Scholarship: Duration of Course (maximum 6 years)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible to receive the CQUniCares Anglo American Scholarships an applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled or intending to enrol at CQUniversity in Term 1, 2019
  • Be a 2nd year student enrolled in one of the following two courses:
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Diploma of Professional Practice (Co-op Engineering)
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
  • Be enrolled at CQUniversity at Census Date of Term 1, 2018
  • Not be receiving another CQUniversity Scholarship of similar or higher value

Preference will be given to applicants from deserving students who are:

  • Female applicants
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders applicants
  • Socially and economically disadvantaged applicants

Applications must include all necessary supporting documents. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applicants will need to supply the following supporting documentation:

  • Written submission
  • Evidence of academic achievements or unofficial transcript
  • Evidence of community involvement, exemplary work or demonstration of leadership
  • Resume

Additional documents required for preferences (optional/where applicable):

  • Confirmation of Identity (also known as Confirmation of Aboriginality)
  • Evidence of low personal/family income or financial need (see below)

Possible required documents:

  • Centrelink Income Statement - current (How to obtain a Centrelink Income Statement)
  • 3 current payslips - including partner's income if partnered or parent/s if you are under 22 years of age
  • Latest Notice of Assessment (If you or your partner are in receipt of Business Income)
  • Most recent Tax Return (If you or your partner are in receipt of Business Income)
  • 3 months of personal or business bank account statements (if you or your partner are in receipt of business or investment income)
  • Please note if you are under the age of 22 and not deemed "Independent" by Centrelink, we will require income documents from your parent/s.

Complete Applications must be received at the Student Life and Wellbeing Centre, Scholarships Office by 5pm AEST on the closing date.

Failure to supply requested documents will result in your application being incomplete. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
